Emerus is seeking an ER Technician for the night shift at a 16-bed Small-Format Hospital. You will provide technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas, including vital signs, specimen collection, and basic wound care.

You will assist the charge nurse with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while protecting patient privacy. A valid BLS is required; ACLS/PALS are preferred depending on market.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT-B with ER experience and 1 year of applicable experience.
• EMT-P / AEMT / LP with ER experience and 1 year of applicable experience.
• Nursing student with first year education and ER experience.
• 2 years ER experience as ER Technician (or 3 years as a CNA with hospital experience; Wisconsin market).
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets.
• Current PALS certifications strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collect, report, and document clinical data. Take vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with policies, COLA and CLIA regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and care as indicated by the plan of care.
• Provide for superficial wound care and patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Provide and maintain a clean, safe environment and perform aseptic technique and infection control measures.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of the patient.
• Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures.
• Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies.
• Assist with patient restraints and report data related to patient needs.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
