Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a PRN Day Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Georgia. You will provide holistic nursing care in a correctional setting, assist physicians and RNs, collect histories, perform tests, and coordinate patient transfers.

A current LPN license and CPR certification are required. Strong EMR proficiency and the ability to pass Level 2 background checks and drug screening are essential.

Qualifications

• Active state LPN license
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct labs and ensure results are delivered to the correct physician or RN.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement orders; document all patient contacts using the POMR format
