Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN CV MS Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide patient‑centered care across telemetry units. You will deliver care using the nursing process, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, support families, and respond to changing clinical needs with professionalism and compassion.

Minimum qualifications include NH RN licensure and BLS certification; a BSN is strongly preferred, and at least 9 months of nursing

Qualifications

  • Current NH RN license.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care and create a therapeutic environment using the nursing process.
  • Assess physical and psychosocial status and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and communicate patient status and needs.
  • Document plan of care, assessments and outcomes in the EMR.
  • Coordinate and implement medical orders and manage complications.

Job Summary And Qualifications
  • To deliver care and create a therapeutic environment for patients and families whose needs range from basic to complex by utilizing the nursing process. To carry out functions in a manner consistent with Performance Improvement and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. To demonstrate clinical excellence through proficient practice which enhances and enriches the practice environment. Proficiency is evidenced by adeptness, facility, aptitude, ease and skill in managing complexity and uncertainty.

Demonstrates quality nursing care and a commitment to the quality care processes asevidencedby:

  • Assesses patients’ physical and psychosocial status based on interview,examinationand review of clinical data.
  • Assesses potential for crisis situations and intervenes before crisis situation develops with adeptness, facility, aptitude, ease and skill in managing complexity and uncertainty.
  • Reassesses patient status at establishedtime framesand asindicatedby the patient’s condition.
  • Based on assessment,analyzesrelevant patient data andidentifiesnursing diagnoses/patient care problems.
  • Communicates patient status and assessed needs to members of multidisciplinary team.
  • Develops an individualized plan of care, including developmental and cultural needs, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews and updates plan of care as needed.
  • Acts as a resource to others in developing and implementingplanof care.
  • Uses the nursing process as a basis for developing,implementingand evaluating nursing interventions.
  • Provides patient-centered care with sensitivityand respect for the wealth of human experience.
  • Performs technical skills as needed by specific clinical unit safely and competently.
  • Coordinates and implements the medical diagnostic and therapeutic orders as directed.
  • Anticipates and manages complications of disease progression and invasive procedures.
  • Documents plan of care, assessments and interventions and patient outcomes in an electronic medical record thoroughly, accurately, and according to CMC Professional Nursing Practice Standards and ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
  • Reports status, including response to care, and changes in status asappropriate.
  • Ensures calm,supportiveand therapeutic environment for patients and their families, serving as an advocate whenappropriate.
  • Adheres to all safety, organizational and ethical standards according to ANA Code of Ethics.
  • Impements elements of core measures in conjunction with Performance Improvement.
  • Identifiescurrent trends which couldimpactpatient outcomes.
  • Identifiessystem resources effectively andallocatesthem appropriately at the point of care delivery.
  • Manages a specific complex clinical procedure common to patients in area ofpractice, andencourages colleagues to seek her/his guidance in managing the specific procedure/technique throughout the year.
  • Employs critical thinking skills to solve problems and achieve patient outcomes
  • Identifies & communicates needs for innovative nursing practices.
  • Identifies & communicates need for new or revised policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.
  • Identifiesresearch as a resource in clinical practice.
  • Stays current withnew resources/knowledge/evidence
  • Serves as a resource/trainer for colleaguesregardingcompetencies, policies and procedures, and clinical practice related to patient population served.
  • Utilizes the change process to improve patient care, the work environment, and patient and staff satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification:

Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

BSN strongly preferred.

Specialty certification strongly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience.
