Job summary

Avamere is seeking a Cook to prepare food for residents under the supervision of the Culinary Services Manager. You will assist with inventory, coordinate Culinary Aides, and ensure meals meet therapeutic diets and policy standards.

Duties include reviewing menus, portion control, and serving trays with attention to quality and safety. The role is PRN with various schedules, located at Avamere Court at Keizer, 5210 River Rd North, Keizer.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail to read/adjust recipes and production sheets.
• Active CPR/BLS certification maintained during employment.
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Dept.
• Experience in quantity food preparation and safe food handling.
• Experience in institutional food preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and follow recipes during preparation.
• Manage purchased foods and dietary supplies to control waste.
• Maintain portion control and proper serving temperatures.
• Inspect special diet trays for accuracy and safety.
• Maintain storage standards and assist in inventories and ordering.
• Assist in establishing production lines to ensure meals are ready on time.
