Job summary

The role requires RT(R) and RT(CT) credentials, strong communication, and proficiency in PACS/EMR. You will work in a team environment, following strict infection control and radiation safety protocols while supporting departmental workflows.

Qualifications

• Requires RT(R) licensure and RT(CT) credentialing.
• Experience/knowledge of CT procedures and radiology equipment.
• Fluent English with strong communication and patient interaction.
• Proficient in computer use and standard software.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectants.
• Follow department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures before exams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Educate patients about exams and complete exams promptly to maintain workflow.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, adapting protocols for all ages.
• Perform CT exams with high image quality per orders and protocols.
• Review patient history to confirm exam appropriateness.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast safely and monitor for reactions.
• Position patients accurately, ensuring radiation safety.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for continuity of care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
