Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN, seeks a CT Technologist PRN for a new Free-Standing ER opening in April 2027. The role emphasizes imaging excellence and ALARA adherence.

You will perform CT exams per protocol, prepare trays, take histories, start IVs for contrast, and operate the power injector, collaborating with radiologists and physicians. Requires grad of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification (or eligible within six months), and BLS; 1 year

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 6 months.
• 1 year post-graduate experience preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols in a timely manner.
• Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
• Take patient history and retrieve orders or prior images.
• Provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow and review daily list for exam completion.
• Support ALARA principles.
• Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
• Interact with physicians, patients, and family members.
• Start IVs for contrast administration.
• Use the power injector.
• Contribute to after-hour on-call shifts.
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and accreditations.
• Handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas.
• Promote customer service initiatives per ICARE values.
• Support quality and PI plans and quarterly metrics.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient age-related care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
