Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care. The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Perform CT procedures, maintain ALARA, prep patients, and explain steps with AIDET. Ensure safety, document in RIS/PACS, and support department operations. Wellstar offers competitive hourly pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications are required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging/equipment safely and maintain ALARA.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and compliance.
• Transport patients safely and keep areas stocked; escalate issues to supervisor.
