Job summary

Nurses and More, Inc. is seeking a Computed Tomography Technician (CT Tech) to operate CT scanners, prepare patients, and administer contrast materials. This PRN/staff relief fill-in role covers Raleigh, NC with shifts 7AM–7PM and 7PM–7AM.

Responsibilities include patient care, image acquisition, safety procedures, PACS/RIS operations, collaboration with radiologists, and performing CTA/3D reconstructions. ARRT CT certification and 1+ year experience required, with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • ARRT-registered with CT certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT experience.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Verifying identification, explaining procedures, obtaining patient history, and monitoring patients during scans.
  • Image Acquisition: Positioning patients correctly, adjusting scan parameters, and producing high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Safety & Technical Procedures: Administering IV contrast, adhering to radiation safety protocols (ALARA), and performing equipment calibration.
  • Technical Operations: Operating PACS and RIS systems to manage, archive, and send images for analysis.
  • Collaboration: Working with radiologists to support guided biopsies or complex diagnostic procedures.
  • Imaging Procedures: Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images, including CTA and 3D reconstructions.
