The position operates as a pool clinician with no benefits, offering shift-based compensation scales and collaboration with licensed clinicians and local emergency services when needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or related field plus one year of related experience and/or training.
• Clinical Licensure (LCSW, LAC, LMFT, LPC) preferred.
• Meets the requirements of applicable federal, state and organizational background checks.
• Ability to operate a personal computer; attend meetings at various locations.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to Walk-In Center clients and provides necessary clinical interventions.
• Evaluates crisis clients according to timelines for response.
• Provides de-escalation, triage assessments, crisis-interventions, and placements when indicated.
• Obtains collateral information from family and other providers and includes them in treatment planning.
• Follows trauma-informed care principles to avoid harm and re-traumatization.
• Develops strength-based treatment plans that promote recovery and resiliency.
• Connects clients with least-restrictive services to ensure safety.
• Links clients to needed follow-up services as appropriate.
