Job summary

The Center at Tucson, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver and coordinate therapy services. The role involves planning patient care in collaboration with staff and families, and ensuring documentation aligns with policies.

Required: valid COTA license, FPCC, CPR, background check and drug test. One year of SNF experience preferred. PRN day shifts available, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid COTA license.
• Must possess a current and valid FPCC.
• Must possess a current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning therapy services.
• Assist in developing, implementing and coordinating patient care plans for individual patients.
• Brief patient of procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment.
• Determine proper equipment usage and body position for therapy treatments
• Recommend modifications of changes in the patient’s therapy program based on progress
• Ensure that therapy notes are informative, descriptive and follow policy and procedures

Education

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license

Fingerprint clearance card (FPCC)

CPR certification
