Job summary

Sandstone Estates in Tucson, AZ is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary care team and help residents regain independence. This role supports daily living activities in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting and offers flexible FT or PT scheduling in a resident-centered, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• NBCOT certification completed.
• Active Arizona COTA license held.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve residents' daily living skills and functional mobility.
• Document treatment sessions and resident progress in accordance with regulations.
• Collaborate with the therapy team, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment as directed.
