Job summary

Right at Home Waterloo is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant to deliver occupational therapy services in clients’ homes in eastern Iowa. The OTA will implement treatment per the plan of care under supervision, document progress in clinical notes, and support the care team across nursing and therapy colleagues.

Candidate must be a graduate of an approved OTA program and currently licensed in Iowa, with strong English communication and the ability to work autonomously in clients’

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and in good standing as an OTA in Iowa.
• Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed in the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services according to the plan of care.
• Prepare and record clinical notes in WellSky and Careficient.
• Observe and report signs of client changes to supervising OT or Clinical Manager.
• Complete documentation for payors such as Medicare or Veterans Affairs.
• Assist in home safety assessments and participate in care coordination meetings.
