Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a COTA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the OT.
• Monitor patient progress and document records per facility policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to educate patients and families on exercises and adaptive equipment.
• Lead or assist patients with therapeutic activities to promote independence.
