Job summary

Harvest Healthcare Services is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The role focuses on helping patients regain independence through individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, mobility, strength, safety, and overall quality of life.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care within a collaborative rehabilitation team, including education

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state where services are provided.
• Current CPR certification (preferred or required based on facility).
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under physician orders and plans of care.
• Assist OT with resident evaluations, treatment planning, and goal development.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the OT.
• Document treatments and maintain therapy and billing records.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and safety recommendations.
• Coordinate therapy schedules with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up services.
• Supervise rehab aides, students, or volunteers as permitted by state regulations.
