Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical team at ASPC Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ. You will work as a Correctional RN alongside correctional officers and other healthcare professionals in a controlled environment focused on security and patient care.

Responsibilities include initial screenings, vital signs monitoring, care plan development, and responding to emergencies while educating patients on prevention and healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in AZ.
• Current BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to correctional healthcare policies, procedures and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments for detainees.
• Monitor and document patient health including vital signs and histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, develop care plans, coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, arrange transport to facilities.
• Educate patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyles and substance abuse prevention.
• Adhere to correctional facility security protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
