Pine Grove Nursing Center in Center, TX is seeking a Cook who is passionate about quality food for residents. The role involves preparing meals, following menus and dietary guidelines, and ensuring safe storage and sanitary kitchen practices.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a cook in hotel, restaurant, hospital, or similar institution preferred.
• Food handlers’ card or Food Safety Certification as required by local ordinance.
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and visitors.

Responsabilités

• Follows standardized recipes and uses production worksheets to prepare meals.
• Ensures proper storage of food and supplies and prevents cross-contamination.
• Supervises serving of meals by wait staff and maintains plate presentation.
• Maintains sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and work areas; cleans as required.
• Close of the kitchen shifts in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
