Job summary

Friends Homes in Greensboro, NC seeks a PRN Cook to support our Life Plan Community with flexible, as-needed shifts. You will prepare meals, follow health standards, and work with a dedicated culinary team to serve residents with care.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation (1–2 years preferred).
• Ability to demonstrate commitment to guest relations.
• Proficiency in standard math and measurement.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food production process in the kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared safely, timely, and efficiently
• Adhere to State, County, and Department food standards and regulations
• Ensure meal quality and presentation meet expectations
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring all health and safety standards are met
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to provide exceptional food service to residents
• Handle food preparation, cooking, and serving with attention to detail and care
