Post-Acute Rehab Solutions seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide client-centered home health services in Katy, TX. You will support clients’ daily living activities and instrumental tasks, applying OT interventions with a holistic approach to maximize independence.

The role emphasizes safety, environment adaptation, and education for clients and their families, with PRN availability and on-the-job training. Collaboration with caregivers is essential.

Formación

• COTA certification required and active licensure or eligibility.
• Home care or rehab experience preferred.
• Proven experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Familiarity with ADL/IADL evaluation tools (Katz, Lawton).
• Experience with computer programs and creative media.
• Ability to manage patients with varied personalities.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.

Responsabilidades

• Address client’s performance aspects to support engagement in occupations.
• Select and tailor OT treatment models per case.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and ADL/IADL independence.
• Teach clients new task approaches and break down activities.
• Assess home environments and recommend adaptations.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train use.
• Educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, document progress toward goals.
• Collect data and follow up regularly.
