Post-Acute Rehab Solutions is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for home health in Katy, TX. You will support clients in developing, recovering, or maintaining daily living and work skills with a client-centered approach.

In this PRN role, you will select appropriate OT treatment models, adapt environments, assess homes, and educate clients and caregivers. Excellent knowledge of ADLs/IADLs, Katz/Lawton tools, and computer skills are valued to document progress and

Qualifications

• COTA certification is required.
• Experience in home health or rehab is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Proficiency with computer programs and creative media is beneficial.
• Familiarity with ADL/IADL evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL, Lawton IADL) is an asset.
• Ability to work with clients with varying personalities.

Responsibilities

• Address client’s performance to support engagement in occupations affecting health and life quality.
• Select and adapt OT treatment models per case and direct interventions.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Teach clients new approaches to tasks and break down activities into steps.
• Assess home environments and advise on alterations to meet needs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, document, and report progress toward goals.
• Follow up with clients regularly.
