Job summary

Nexus Family Recovery Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking a part-time Cook – PRN to prepare meals for clients, children, and staff on campus. You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage inventory, and assist with events as needed.

Under the Kitchen Supervisor's guidance, you should read and follow menus, operate kitchen equipment safely, and coordinate with the team to ensure timely meal service and compliance with licensing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in institutional or batch cooking preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and menus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Understanding of safety standards and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals as defined by weekly menus under supervision.
• Clean kitchen equipment and restock dry storage after shipments.
• Maintain inventory and cooking supply records per licensing standards.
• Perform other kitchen duties as required by the Kitchen Supervisor.
• Fulfill additional duties across the organization as assigned.
