Job summary

Stone River Recovery Center in San Antonio, TX seeks a PRN Cook to support meal service for clients, staff and visitors. The cook will implement menus, prepare foods, and help with inventory, sanitation, and kitchen organization.

Responsibilities include following recipes, ensuring safe temperatures, labeling leftovers, and coordinating with the Dietician or supervisor to meet dietary guidelines. On-site, non-remote, with focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience in food service for institutions (school, hospital, cafeteria) preferred.
• SERV Safe or similar food safety certification required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares foods in accordance with facility policies and approved menus.
• Maintains proper temperature logs and safe storage of foods.
• Directs activities of staff assisting in meal preparation and service.
• Ensures sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
