Job summary

Discovery At Home Texas is seeking dedicated caregivers to assist clients with daily living activities in Temple, Texas. Responsibilities include providing companionship, administering medications, and maintaining client well-being through various support tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have a current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications, as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and cleaning.

Skills

Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer skill proficiency

Education

40 Hr Certificate, Active HHA 75 hour certificate, CNA license

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting a positive and friendly environment
• Administer medications, as directed by healthcare professionals
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients
• Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary restrictions and preferences
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings, as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided

Requirements

• 40 Hr Certificate, Active HHA 75 hour certificate, CNA license (Required)
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
• Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have a current CPR certification.
