Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma seeks a Clinical Lab Scientist for PRN shifts in the OUMC Clinical Pathology Laboratory. Under supervision, you will perform routine diagnostic tests, handle specimens, and maintain instrumentation while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Minimum education includes an MLT or relevant Bachelor's degree with required science coursework; 0–3 years in a clinical lab is typical. Certification through ASCP/AMT or similar is preferred, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree of Medical Lab Technology (MLT) or a Bachelor's degree with required lab science coursework.
• 0-3 years of lab experience is acceptable.
• National certification via ASCP/AMT/etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and nonwaived lab testing promptly per policies.
• Follows safety policies including PPE usage.
• Participates in quality monitoring and performance improvement.
• Receives and processes specimens and records data in the lab informatics system.
• Operates, calibrates, and maintains laboratory instrumentation.
