Job summary

VytlOne seeks a Pharmacist to work part-time per diem at Maury Regional Health Pharmacy-MOB in Columbia, TN. This clinic-based role involves interpreting and filling orders, counseling patients, and collaborating closely with physicians and nurses as part of the care team.

Responsibilities include overseeing drug therapy, maintaining records, supervising technicians, managing inventory, and participating in education and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of drugs, indications, dosing and safety considerations.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Knowledge of policies and regulations relating to drug dispensing.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to supervise and train staff.
• Knowledge of accreditation/certification requirements.
• Proficient with computers and pharmacy software.
• Ability to assume essential responsibilities in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient counseling and information.
• May serve as alternate store leader when Pharmacist-In-Charge is absent.
• Consult with physicians about prescription questions or irregularities.
• Dispense prescriptions, compound and prepare IV admixtures when applicable.
• Monitor therapy for interactions, contraindications and allergies.
• Maintain patients' medication records and inventory control.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accurate pricing/quantities.
• Provide drug information to staff and patients.
• Participate in inventory control programs and staff meetings.
• Engage in educational programs and orientation activities.
• Support compliance and reporting requirements.
