VIPCARE in Ocala is seeking a Clinical Assistant Team Member (RN/LPN/CMA/RMA) to support clinicians across multiple clinics, including 4-8 hour shifts. This role blends clinical care with administrative duties to ensure safe, high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current licensure/certification as RN, LPN, CMA or RMA.
• CPR/BLS certification required; IV start or phlebotomy preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in primary care or outpatient settings.
• Experience using EMR systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, infection control and universal precautions.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, confidential and culturally sensitive in patient interactions.
• Able to work independently or collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination by obtaining vital signs, history, and current medications; document in EMR.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring proper room setup and patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in the EMR.
• Administer medications, injections, or immunizations as ordered (within scope).
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures as directed (e.g., EKGs, pulse oximetry, spirometry).
• Draw blood and process lab specimens according to protocol.
• Support patient education and provide instruction on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and equipment; cleaning and sterilization.
• Manage patient calls, scheduling, and care coordination.
• Assist with front office tasks like check-in/check-out, referrals, prescriptions.
• Collaborate with care team for efficient clinic flow and positive patient experience.
• Perform other duties to support clinic operations.
