Job summary

VIPCARE in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN to provide clinical and administrative support for high‑quality patient care. The role includes assisting providers, documenting in the EMR, and supporting patient education and care coordination.

The position requires licensure as RN/LPN or CMA/RMA, CPR/BLS, 2+ years of outpatient experience, EMR familiarity, and strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current state licensure or certification as RN, LPN, or CMA/RMA.
• CPR/BLS certification required; IV start or phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a primary care/outpatient setting.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and universal precautions.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficient with Google Suite and basic computer applications.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or with a team.
• Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination and document vitals and history in the EMR.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in the EMR.
• Administer medications, injections, or immunizations as ordered.
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures (EKG, pulse oximetry, spirometry, point-of-care testing).
• Draw blood and process lab specimens per protocol.
• Support patient education and treatment plan adherence.
• Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and inventory; support front office tasks.
