Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST) and must be maintained.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures.
• Perform room duties involved with direct patient care.
• Adhere to established procedural guidelines and deliver care appropriate to patient development and family needs.
