Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist II for a PRN position in the OR.

Under general supervision, you will prepare sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, assist the surgical team, and perform related room duties with proper patient care and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA/NCCT required and must be maintained.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team and perform room duties involved with direct patient care under supervision.
• Adhere to established procedural guidelines and maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
