Job summary

Western Carolina Surgery Center, a USPI-affiliated ambulatory surgical center, seeks a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist to scrub, maintain a sterile field, and support surgical teams in Orthopedics, Spine, Podiatry, ENT, and Ophthalmology.

The role emphasizes safety, precision, and patient-centered care within a collaborative environment, with emphasis on teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced OR setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with Surgical Technician program completion or equivalent.
• State or center certification as required.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and coordinate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures and function as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures and prepare supplies and instruments.
• Support center objectives and participate in quality improvement activities.
