Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center on a PRN basis. You will scrub in ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedics, and other specialties, assisting surgeons and the OR team.

Responsibilities include equipment prep, sterile field setup, instrument passing, and patient positioning. Prior OR experience and CST certification are preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST certification, or grandfathering per state regulations.
• Prefer 1–2 years OR clinical experience; 0–2 years in related field considered.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Prefer one year of surgical experience but willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation for procedures.
• Set up sterile field and instruments, drapes, and solutions.
• Follow facility regulations and ensure patient safety pre-operation.
• Perform pre-procedure skin and body prep.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify operation.
• Assist with patient prep, transport, and positioning as needed.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assist with suturing and counts.
• Assist with specimen handling and postoperative dressing.
