Job Description:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) supports the Occupational Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

1. Direct Patient Care: Provides treatment to patients as per the plan developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, maintaining required productivity levels and effective time management.
2. Treatment Support: Implements intervention plans, including ADL training, and assists with data collection during assessments. Executes assigned resident screens.
3. Program Development: Participates in program development and shares best practices with the Rehab Team.
4. Monitoring: Observes residents and reports changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
5. Documentation: Maintains accurate documentation of resident progress, interventions, evaluations, and treatment plans in EMRs like Net Health/PCC.
6. Education: Educates residents, families, and staff on safe techniques and exercises.
7. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Works with nursing and rehab staff, including PTs and SLPs, and attends care plan meetings.

Qualifications:

• Must be COTA certified.
• Must be licensed in Missouri.
