CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (COTA) - CONSISTENT PRN FOR 12 WK MATERNITY LEAVE

Adira Nursing and Rehab is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to cover a maternity leave starting in mid-March. The position offers consistent 40 hours per week for 12 weeks, with potential for regular PRN work afterward. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with the elderly, focusing on restoring and enhancing independent function to maximize independence and facilitate return to home or the most appropriate level of care.

Responsibilities of the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) include but are not limited to:

1. Providing treatment that meets patient needs and adheres to current clinical procedures.
2. Treating patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, communicating with families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team, and documenting services accurately in the medical record.
3. Maintaining accurate, complete, and clear documentation.
4. Demonstrating the Facility’s interdisciplinary approach to resident/patient care consistently.
5. Performing other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license for the State of Michigan
