Job summary

Glenview Health and Rehab in Kentucky is seeking a PRN CNA to provide hands-on resident care, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulation. You will assist with transfers, document vital signs, and report changes to the nursing team, while interacting respectfully with residents and families.

Qualifications

• At least one year of CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Must possess and maintain a current state CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Take and record patient vital signs, assist with lifting and moving residents using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff and ask clarifying questions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.




• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.




• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.




• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.




• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.




• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.




• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.




• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
