Job summary

Addus HomeCare in the United States is hiring Certified Nursing Aides (CNAs) to provide compassionate in-home care in Virginia Beach. We offer flexible hours and virtual interviews to support safety and work‑life balance, with daily pay options for select positions.

CNAs will follow care plans, assist with personal care, prepare meals, assist with medications, and coordinate rides and errands while maintaining client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be a Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide (training provided).
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
• Pre-employment physical exam/PPD prior to patient contact.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate by nature with desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide housekeeping, meals, and laundry assistance as needed.
• Transport client to appointments and essential outings.
• Assist with self-administration of medications as directed.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Maintain regular attendance and flexibility to meet department needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties

• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's office, grocery store and other essential errands.
• Assist client with the self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report any changes in client's condition.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department.
• Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
