Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate – Urology to support clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include vital signs, patient prep, medication updates, injections, and assisting with urology procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with current certification.
  • BLS certification required or through employer.
  • Medical office experience preferred (1 year).
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and medical office procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs and EKG.
  • Room patients and prepare for examination.
  • Obtain and update patient medications.
  • Administer injections and medication refills as directed.
  • Assist in vasectomy, cystoscopy and biopsy procedures.
  • Sterilize and clean surgical instruments.
  • Collect urine and blood specimens.
  • Manage prior authorizations for meds and radiology.
  • Check in/out patients and perform clerical duties.
