Clearview Cancer Institute, a north Alabama oncology/hematology clinic, is seeking a vitals tech to assist patients and physicians by obtaining information and providing services. This role records vital signs, escorts patients, verifies medication lists, and maintains room readiness for next appointments.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and record patient height/weight at each visit.
• Record vital signs: pulse, temperature, respiration, BP.
• Escort patient to room and verify meds with AP visit.
• Ensure rooms are clean, sanitized and ready for next patient.
• Maintain confidentiality per regulations.

We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve.Job Description:Job PurposeThe purpose of the vitals tech is to help patients and physicians by obtaining information, providing services, and assistance.Essential Job FunctionsObtain and record patient’s accurate height and weight on each visit.Obtain patient vital signs such as pulse, temperature, respiration, and blood pressure.Escort Patient to room.Verify medication list with each Advanced Practice Providers visit.Adhere to annual CCI standards based on current criteria.Ensure all patient rooms are clean, sanitized, and prepared for next patient appointment.Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal confidentiality and healthcare regulations.Ability to be at work regularly and on time.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust have excellent oral and written communication skillsMust have excellent listening skills.Strong computer skills needed and must be detail-oriented.Must be able to work as a team member, follow instructions, and communicate well with coworkers.Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Must have ability to learn new tasks and make judgments.Education/ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or equivalent.Medical Assistant certification preferred.Medical experience preferred.Working conditionsThis position works in a busy oncology/hematology clinic. This person will have direct patient contact, including some patients who are very ill.Physical requirementsThis position requires that the employee be able to stand for long periods of time, up to eight hours a day. This position also requires that the employee be able to lift and assist patients as needed.
