Job summary

Carolina Reserve of Laurel Park, a Navion Senior Living community in Hendersonville, NC, seeks Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration and resident care oversight in our Assisted Living Community. This is a PRN opportunity to join our team in supporting our residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Able to communicate effectively in written and oral form in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Promotes and protects residents rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and education programs and obtains continuing education required by state regulations.
• Demonstrates the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains professional appearance by adherence to community dress code.
• Documentation is completed in an informative and descriptive manner.
• All changes in a resident’s condition are reported to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Work schedules and assigned tasks are completed following community policies and procedures.
• Operates equipment safely and only with prior training.
• Infection control precautions and practices are utilized.
• Demonstrates knowledge of fire and emergency procedures; reports safety violations.
