Job summary

Friendship Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Friendswood, TX seeks a PRN Speech Therapist/CCC-SLP to provide skilled services to residents and short-term patients.

The role requires Texas licensure (CCC-SLP), strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within physician orders and a plan of care; geriatric rehab experience preferred with per-diem scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification: CCC-SLP.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills required.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
• Geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Successful completion of hiring process / background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops an overall therapy plan of care including treatment, goals and discharge plan.
• Performs skilled treatments according to the plan of care.
• Documents observations and patient progress within specified timeframes.
• Completes documentation timely and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintains rehab gym equipment and treatment area safely.
