Job summary

Discovery Village at Naples Assisted Living in Naples, FL is seeking a dedicated Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich residents’ lives with hands-on care and compassionate support. You will administer medications, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, home-like environment.

Responsibilities include accurate medication administration, monitoring resident conditions, and engaging residents in enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with daily living activities while promoting dignity and safety.
• Administer and observe medications following the Six Rights of Medication Pass, document accurately, and report concerns.
• Monitor resident conditions and document changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and engagement.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support wellbeing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in rooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly to call bells and security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff.
