Job summary

Griswold Home Care in Ocala & The Villages is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as PRN Caregivers. We welcome CNAs, Certified Home Health Aides, or nursing students pursuing RN, with shifts starting as early as 7:00 AM and ranging from 4 to 12 hours.

You will provide non-medical care and home companionship, help with activities of daily living, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Current FL CNA license or proof of 75 hours of Home Health Aide Training from an approved program.
• BLS/CPR certification is required or preferred.
• High school diploma preferred; 2+ years home care valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care and home companionship to seniors.
• Assist with activities of daily living, meal prep, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Document shifts and communicate with the office to update client care.

Griswold Home Care in Ocala & The Villages is calling all compassionate individuals to apply to join our amazing team as a PRN Caregiver! Whether you are a CNA, Certified Home Health Aide, or a nursing student working toward your RN, we'd love for you to join our team! We’re looking for caregivers with the flexibility to begin shifts as early as 7:00 AM. Shift lengths vary based on client needs and may range from 4 to 12 hours.

Compensation: Starting at $16.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and case complexity.

YOUR LIFE AS A CAREGIVER

This companionship and caregiving position offers flexible hours and opportunities to gain meaningful experience assisting seniors. Clients may receive as little as 4 hours of care, while others require 24-hour care.

As a Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping seniors live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non-medical care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation. With the client’s dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help them maintain proper personal hygiene. You are gentle and professional as you aid them with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding. At times, you provide companionship to clients who have dementia or cognitive impairments. Your kind and patient demeanor serves you well as you ensure they receive the highest quality of elderly care.

You carefully complete documentation for each shift, submitting timely updates. Committed to providing consistent elderly care, you communicate routinely with the office about the condition and needs of your clients. You feel good about helping seniors enjoy their golden years, and you are glad you chose a career in the caregiving industry.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Reliable Transportation
• Current FL CNA license or proof of a minimum of 75 hours of Home Health Aide Training from an FDOE approved school or program
• A Current Non-Expired BLS or CPR Certification
• Free of communicable disease statement
• Overview of HIV/AIDS
• Alzheimer’s and Dementia Training (2 Hours)
• Self-Administration of Medications Training (2 Hours)
• Department of Elder Affairs Alzheimer’s One-Hour Training Video
