Job summary

Truman Medical Centers is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform high-quality echocardiographic exams, including stress and transesophageal studies, across hospital settings. You will operate mobile ultrasound equipment, position patients, and clearly explain procedures while collaborating with staff cardiologists.

The role requires active BLS, ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS credentials, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active BLS/CPR certification is required and must be maintained.
• Current ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS credential is required.
• Ability to independently perform echocardiograms and TEE procedures.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and cardiovascular physiology is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations including standard echocardiograms, spectral, color, and tissue Doppler studies.
• Perform stress echocardiograms and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms.
• Independently perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Operate mobile cardiac ultrasound equipment across the hospital.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance throughout exams.
• Accurately document procedures and examination information; coordinate with cardiologists.
