Job summary

Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a PRN Registered Echo Sonographer in Cardiology Diagnostics. You will perform cardiac ultrasound exams, including echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and stress tests, with opportunities to work across hospital units.

The role requires ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS credentials, BLS and CPR certifications, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This is a part-time PRN position at UH Truman Medical Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active BLS certification.
• Active ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS registration.
• Ability to independently perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms and TEE.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations (spectral, color, tissue Doppler).
• Independently perform stress echocardiograms and pharmacologic stress echoes.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Operate mobile ultrasound equipment across the hospital.
• Position patients safely and explain procedures clearly.
• Document procedures and examination information accurately.
• Collaborate with staff cardiologists who review reports.
