Job summary

Parkdale Center in Chesterton, IN is seeking a PRN Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals with mental health challenges under supervision of clinical staff.

You will assist with treatment plans, conduct assessments, monitor safety, and document care in the chart. Prior experience in behavioral health is preferred; HS diploma required; EHR familiarity is a plus; pay is $17.00 to $19.00 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in related field preferred.
• Experience or training in behavioral health, mental health, or related clinical settings.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and mental health clinical assessments.
• Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health and SED.
• Conduct clinical assessments and assist in development and implementation of treatment and discharge plans.
• Monitor patient behavior and intervene during crises to ensure safety and stabilization.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and care plans.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, families, and other stakeholders to support patient care.
