Job summary

Parkdale Center in Chesterton, IN is seeking a Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician to support patients with mental health challenges under clinical supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience or training in behavioral health or related clinical settings.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and mental health clinical assessments.
• Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and clinical teams.
• Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician or equivalent credential (preferred).
• Experience with children/adolescents with SED (preferred).
• Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation software (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health and SED.
• Conduct clinical assessments and assist in development/implementation of treatment and discharge plans.
• Monitor patient behavior and intervene during crises to ensure safety and stabilization.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and care plans.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, families, and other stakeholders to support patient care and communication.
