Job summary

Reprieve in Tuscaloosa, AL seeks a PRN Behavioral Health Technician to support patients within a structured recovery program. This role involves assisting with orientation, monitoring, documenting checks, and collaborating with counselors to implement treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate an understanding of chemical dependency recovery principles.
• Maintain records and have good communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must be able to walk within the facility and grounds for ~1 mile per 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to sit for ~3 hours per 8-hour shift.
• Must be CPR certified and able to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in luggage and body searches.
• Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings.
• Document hourly checks and keep patient locations updated.
• Ensure adherence to Bradford Program Schedule and assignments.
• Supervise patient activities as directed and manage shift reports.
• Assist patients to/from activities, medications, and meals.
• Support counselors and document appropriately.
