Job summary

Penn State Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work under the direction of the team physician, providing athletic training services to student-athletes in the secondary school setting in Lancaster, PA. Responsibilities include prevention, emergency care, clinical evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.

This PRN, varied shift opportunity requires a Bachelor’s degree, PA licensure as Athletic Trainer, BOC and CPR certifications, with initial eligibility for PIAA Weight Assessor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Licensed athletic trainer in the state of employment.
• Current BOC certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• PIAA Weight Assessor Certification (can be obtained after employment).

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to student-athletes in the secondary school setting.
• Provide preventative measures and standard immediate care procedures in emergencies.
• Conduct clinical evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation/reconditioning of injuries.
