Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work under physician supervision, providing injury prevention, evaluation, and immediate and emergency care in clinic or outreach settings. Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, maintaining a safe environment, wound care, and supporting quality improvement.

Required: CAATE‑approved AT program, Master’s degree, BOC certification, PA license, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver’s license, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAATE approved Athletic Training Program.
• Master’s Degree required; unless employee graduated prior to 2022.
• BOC Certified
• Maintains valid PA State Athletic Training license
• Maintains CPR Healthcare BLS certification.
• Maintains CEU requirements to stay in compliance with BOC requirements.
• Maintains valid Driver’s License
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• One 1 year of experience in traditional setting.
• Clinical experience in outpatient office.

Responsibilities

• Athletic Trainers work under the supervision of a physician to provide injury prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation.
• Act as liaison between customers, patients, support staff and physicians.
• Responsible for wound care and wound dressing.
• Help maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
