Job summary

Copper Springs East, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, seeks an Assessment Specialist (PRN) dedicated to delivering superior patient care and coordinating services.

You will support initial assessments, determine appropriate level of care, and assist with admissions, while maintaining accurate paperwork and collaborating with physicians.

This role requires a Master’s in Social Work or nursing credential and active licensure; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field, or nursing credential.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• CPR certification required and active licensure as LCSW/LMFT/LPC/LAC/ASW/LPCC or RN.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates response to a request for services, including initial response, assessment, and referral, designation of level of care, admission, and follow-up.
• Conducts initial evaluation, initiates assessment, documents patient symptoms, functioning, and needs; provides information to MD for LOC determination.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers promptly and courteously.
• Possesses clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and EMTALA requirements.
• Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, and completes all pre-certification with insurance companies.
