Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking an Assessment Specialist Supervisor (RN) based in Avondale, Arizona. Qualifications

  • Current state RN license and a degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BLS and De-escalation certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

  • Facilitates response to requests for services and initial assessments.
  • Conducts initial evaluation and documents patient symptomology.
  • Educates and coaches staff and acts as a point person for clinical decisions.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Facilitates response to request for services, including the initial response, the assessment and referral process, the designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services and appropriate follow‑up activity
  • Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documents patient symptomology, functioning, needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA
  • Maintains all pre‑admission and admission paperwork with accuracy, completes all per‑certification with insurance companies
  • Ensures appropriate staffing for shift
  • Minimizes use of overtime
  • Assists in monitoring attendance
  • Educates and coaches staff and acts as a point person for clinical decisions
  • Reports all issues and incidents to the Director appropriately
  • Ensures staff has completed all needed documentation, call logging, insurance calls, and additional tasks prior to the end of shift

What We’re Looking For
