Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a PRN ASC RN Specialty for PACU/Endoscopy at the Coral Springs facility. You will support pre- and post-operative patients, collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care during ambulatory procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs.

Ideal candidates are RNs with perioperative or critical care experience, current BLS, ACLS within six months, and PALS if serving pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in state.
• 1 year RN perioperative/critical care experience or 3 yrs Surgical Tech.
• BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross).
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS for pediatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish courteous relations with patients and users of the ASC.
• Oversee nursing practice in the ASC and plan delivery of care.
• Direct other caregivers and assume charge responsibilities.
• Report variances to the Nurse Manager.
• Develop educational materials for patients/families.
• Process patients through the ASC and ensure resources meet patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality monitoring and ASC goals and cost-efficiency.
